A LS-SVM Model for Describing and Forecasting Regional Innovation Capability among Thirty-one Provinces in China
Based on the innovation capacity data of 31 provincial level regions in China during 2003-2005, firstly we use the methods of principal component analysis and cluster to quantitatively study Chinas 31 provincial-level regions innovation capacity. Then we use the least square support vector machine (LS-SVM) method to construct the predictive regional innovation capacity model.
