The Source of Error in Multi-stage Sampling & Determining the Sample Size
In multi-stages sampling (MSS), there are some errors come from every stage sampling; it seems add more error when we add one stage sampling. The main sampling errors which in MSS come from the variance of inter-groups and inner of every group. MSS adds source of error, but it does not necessarily enlarge the error. Adding sampling stratum, whether it adds more error after the group was divided is depended on the relationship between the variance of inter-groups and inner of every group. This paper has derived the source of error from double-stages sampling (TSS) as well as the problem of how to determine sample size, and expands these to MSS.
