A Comprehensive Evaluation Indicator System of Economic & Social Development and Application of Quantitative Evaluation Methods-- a case of Sichuan Province
The paper constructs an evaluation indicator system of twelve indicators describing the economy and society situation from four aspects such as development level, structure, speed, and quality, and based on which, chooses some 16 provinces from eastern, central, and western China respectively as the studying object, and applying Factor Analysis and Cluster Analysis methods, made a horizontal comparative analysis of the economic and social development in Sichuan province in the end of the tenth five-year plan. It is showed that, in the end of the tenth five-year plan, according to economic and social development comprehensively, Sichuan province ranked at ten, belonged to the second field in the fourth type, and characterized by the medium development level, the higher development speed, and the lower development quality.
