CHARACTERISTICS OF FALLING LIQUID FILM ON THE SURFACE OF CENTRIFUGAL WATER-FILM DEDUSTOR
IntroductionVertically falling liquid film along a solid surface is widely encountered and has various industrial application. The interface characteristics of thin falling films are of interest to designers of process equipment. It is not surprising that a large body of literature exists on this topic1, dating back to the early part of 20 century (Nusselt 1916). Despite this wealth of information is generally recognized, that there are also some fields that we have done few studies of them. The main objective of the work reported here was to obtain the characteristics of falling liquid film along the surface of centrifugal water-film dedustor. The dedustor here is a cell of integrate apparatus for dedusting and desulfurization of the flue gas. The cyclonic dust scrubbe has two sides of water film, one flows on the outer wall of internal cylinder, the other flows on the inter wall of the external cylinder. The dust in flue gas can be catched by falling film with centrifugal force and adsorption. The focus of the study is on stability of film along the surface of external cylinder.
