EFFECT OF PbCl2 ON A V2O5/TiO2 CATALYST FOR SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION OF NO WITH NH3
IntroductionLead has been proposed as one of the important elements for deactivation of SCR catalysts, especially in the case of municipal waste incineration plants 1. Lead chloride is one of most predominant three species in the flue gas from coal-fired boilers and waste incinerators 2, The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of PbCl2 on a V2O5/TiO2 catalyst and elucidate its action mechanism. ExperimentalCatalyst preparation. V2O5/TiO2 catalysts were prepared by the isovolume impregnation method. TiO2 was impregnated by an aqueous solution of ammonium metavanadate in oxalic acid. Then, the sample was been treated under ultrasonic agitation for 30min. After standing for 24h at room temperature, the sample was dried at 110℃ for 12h. Followed by calcinations in air at 500℃ for 5h. The amount of V2O5 was kept at 1wt.% (by weight) TiO; and the catalyst is termed V1/Ti.
