THE EVALUATION OF CO2 ADSORPTION EFFICIENCY WITH DIFFERENT MANUFACTURED ZEOLITE 13X

IntroductionDuring the gasification of waste material, CO and H2 gases can be easily used energy source of electrical gen erating if CO2 is separated in synthesis gases 1. CO2 is optionally separated using adsorption method under the condition of ambient temperature and pressure in this study. After shaped Zeolite 13X with Bentonite as binder is synthesized by hydrothermal reaction and extruded by molding methods 2,3 To use manufactured adsorbents, it is digested at 50℃ for 4 hours in sodium hydroxide solution 2,4. The adsorption efficiency is shown as a function of the weight change of adsorbent. The charac teristics of manufactured adsorbent are investigated by XRD 5, XRF and BET methods, respectively. The fu ture work will be placed on the study of the higher CO2 adsorption efficiency.
