Development Route of Fengqing Tea Industry
I. Fengqing and Dianhong (Yunnan Black tea) Fengqing County is at southwest of Yunnan Province and northwest of Lincang City (east longitude 99°31′~100°13′, north latitude 24°13′~25°02′), covering total area of 3335km2. It is divided into 5 townships, 8 towns, 183 administration villages and 4 residential habitant committees and has 24 ethnic minorities and total population 450,000. Fengqing is previously called as Shunning and since1954 the current name has been used and it has county-establishment history of 600 years. Fengqing is one of global tea tree origins and has long history of tea planting, processing and drinking. Before the Spring and Autumn Period(B.C.770—B.C.476), Pu people (the forefather of current Bulang ethnic minority and Va ethnic minority), recognized as the one first found and utilized tea, lived there. There are many mountains and valleys in Fengqing and the lowest and the highest altitude is 919m and 3098.7m respectively with a vertical elevation difference of 2197.7m.
