Assessment of Genetic Diversity of Tartary Buckwheat (Fagopyrum Tataricum)Collections in China Using AFLP Markers

Seventy-nine accessions of tartary buckwheat were characterized using Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism(AFLP). The results showed that total of 621 reproducible bands were amplified by 15 pairs of AFLP primers.Unweighted pair-group method arithmetic average(UPGMA)analysis showed that 79 accessions formed 4 clusters with AFLP data.AFLP analysis revealed that all accessions of tartary buckwhem were genetically distinct and possessed high genetic diversity.
