Effect of N Fertilization and Growth Regulator on Buckwheat Yield and Some Phenolic Compounds in Seeds

Yield of buckwheat nuts were significantly the highest on objects with fertilization of 30 kg N-ha-1 with comparison to objects with dose of 60 kg N-ha-1 and control. Buckwheat yield was not significantly altered by application of dimetipin. Percentages of hulls in whole buckwheat nuts were not significant after application of N fertilization and treatment by dimetipin. In dehulled buckwheat nuts flavonoid rutin were found and in hulls rutin, orientin, iso-orientin, vitexin and iso-vitexin was detected. Increasing N fertilization dosed caused meaning full decrease of rutin concentration in dehulled nuts. The amount of iso-orientin was also decreased in buckwheat hulls. Application of dimetipin significantly increased the content of some flavonoids in buckwheat nuts. The influence of dimetipin was depend upon the cultivation year.Statistical investigation did not show any significant alterations in the content of free phenolic acids in buckwheat hulls. The data are based on experiment concerning N fertilization dosage and implication of growth regulator-dimetipin.
