Response of Particular Phenolic Compounds Content of Buckwheat Nuts to Sowing Terms
The content of flavonoids (rutin, orientin, iso-orientin, vitexin, iso-vitexin) and free phenolic acids (gallic, protocatechuic, p-hydroxybenzoic, vanillic, iso-vanillic, cumaric, salicylic acids and vanillin) was studied in nuts of buckwheat varieties Luba and Panda cultivated in three sowing terms. Concentration of flavonoids and phenolic acids was determined using HPLC method with external standards mode in dehulled buckwheat nuts and their hulls. Delay of sowing terms had not significant effect on rutin concentration in dehulled nuts of both varieties of buckwheat. Delay of sowing times resulted significant increase of rutin content in buckwheat hulls. Concentration of flavonoids: orientin, iso-orientin, vitexin, iso-vitexin were influencedby year of crop and sowing terms. 8 weeks delay of sowing term resulted significant reduction of protocatechuic acid content in hulls, but concentration of p-coumaric and salicylic acids had tendency to increase. Delay of sowing terms had not influence on concentration of Gallic, p-hydroxybenzoic, vanillic acids and vanillin.
