HM COUPLING ANALYSIS OF GUSHUBAO LANDSLIDE
Gushubao landslide locates in Shuibuya Hydropower Project of Qingjiang River. In September 2000, the slope failed after several days rainfall. In order to research into the causes of landslide, its necessary to take into account of the effect of rainfall and seepage accurately. This paper provides a new method to calculate the coupled problem of overland flow and saturated-unsaturated seepage under the condition of rainfall. Based on the theory of HM Coupling, the stress and distortion was calculated by the method of nonlinear FEM. The result of analysis shows the stability of Gushubao landslide is very poor in the natural condition, and the several days rainfall leads to its failure directly.
