GENESIS MECHANISM ANALYSIS AND COUPLED HYDRAULIC-MECHANICAL SIMULATION OF LAND SUBSIDENCE
The land subsidence in south Kunming city is a representative one which occurs in plateau downfaulted basin. This paper presents a case study on genesis mechanism analysis, and hydraulic-mechanical simulation relating to the subsiding centre. Firstly, according to the observational level data, in conjunction with geological, hydro-geological and engineering-geological conditions, the map of the isograms of subsiding has been plotted. The characteristics of land subsidence have been illuminated, and the genesis mechanism has also been analyzed. It shows that karst water pumping plays an overwhelming part in the land subsidence. Then, layer wise summation analysis is used to calculate the utmost subsiding in Xiaobanqiao subsiding-centre. A hydraulic-mechanical simulation is thereafter conducted to study the time-dependent subsiding process. Finally, based on all the analysis and simulation, the development of the land subsidence is estimated, and some preventive advices are also put forward.
