Safety Monitoring and Data Analyzing During Impound Process of Yele Dam
Yele Hydropower Station Dam is asphalt concrete core wall rock fill dam, with max dam height at 124.5m, which comes out top of the same dam type both in nation and abroad. As elevation of dam area is high, its climate character appears as cold, moist and rainy. The characters of high earthquake intensity, complicated geological structure, and highly asymmetric foundation of right and left bank, causing difficulty in foundation deform coordination and anti seepage. Therefore, to comprehensively master operation state of the dam, a monitoring longitude section and 5 monitoring transversal sections are laid out in dam structure, of which the monitoring emphases are deformation and seepage of foundation. Through observation in 2 impound-emptying processes from Jan to Apr in 2005, valuable monitoring data are obtained, which established a base for safety operation of reservoir.
