The Study on Two-side-drilling Process for Backplane
Drilling plays a very important role in the whole processes of manufacturing backplane, especially for those thick ones which over 5.0mm.( T>=5.0mm ）. There are many ways to solve the technical problems of drilling such as applying new type drilling machine, tailoring special drilling bit. However, these solutions are costly that unsuitable for mass-producing in the drastic competition market. How to settle the technical problems of drilling on backplane based on existing equipment? Two-side-drilling is the method based on solving problems of thick backplanes, which is, dividing into two processes, the first one is depth controlled drilling and the other one is drilling through holes from another side. This article will discuss technologies about how to employ two-side-drilling to deal with problems of thick backplanes under routine circumstance to meet the customers’ critical requirements.
