The Special Drill Design for High-Density System PCB of Communication
High Density System Board of Communication is used for dealing with data signal, and the board is the center of mass data exchange for all kinds terminal units. As it is the motherboard of the whole system, its long-term reliability is always considered as important parameter. The hole wall quality after drilling plays a key role of the PCB reliability. This thesis is trying to analyze how to improve the drilling effect so that the finished hole wall quality would be upgraded.Another precondition is that High Density System Board requires high hole-position precision. Using normal drill, the hole wall quality improvement would conflict with hole-position precision. In this thesis, we have investigated the factors causing the conflict and found way to eliminate this conflict by introducing a new drill. This drill uses one new material to upgrade the drill rigidity and is designed in Chinese Character “工 shape with 45°helix angle to increase drill cuttings expelling capability and twist capability.
