China RoHS Regulation and EC RoHS Directive:Comparison and Implementation
Many enterprises now have to face the ‘Measures for Administration of the Pollution Control of Electronic Information Products’ from China(hereafter called China RoHS) and the EC RoHS Directive at the same time, for their products may be placed on the markets both in Europe and China. The two legislations have the same terminal goal, to restrict the use of some hazardous substances in the electronic products specified, but the two laws come into effect in two governmental areas. So it is necessary for the enterprises to understand what the two laws tell people and furthermore how to do for conforming to both the two laws at the same time by management. This article briefly analyzes the similarities and the differences between the two legislations and gives the suggestions for the enterprises how to implement for the compliance with the laws at the same time by management.
