Study of Customer-Oriented Project Management Mode in PCB Shop
Project management is one of the major management technologies developed since 1940’s, now there has been created special knowledge system and methodology for current project management, which has been implemented in different industry and field. PCB (Printed Circuit Board) industry is typical EMS (Electrical Manufacturing Service) industry, which is mainly to provide the professional PCB manufacturing service for major OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) customers. As fast developing of electronic technology, the life time of electronic products are becoming shorter and shorter, and project nature, such as time-limited, one-time endeavor or unique etc, is becoming more and more obvious, so is becoming more and more suitable to be managed by project management.This thesis first describes the set up of customer-oriented project management system in PCB shop, and then introduce the new management system implementation with case studies, finally, the new management system is evaluated the effectiveness from factory itself and customer’s standpoint. As a result showed in the thesis, the implementation of customer-oriented project management not only increases the corresponding customer’s sale revenue and profit margin significantly, but also increases the customer’s satisfactory level.The innovation of this thesis is to change the conventional and close management mode, which only focuses on factory, to strategic customer-emphasized open management mode. And the author hopes this thesis can provide some useful reference for the fast expanding PCB industry in China.
