Single neuron adaptive internal model controller for induction motor speed control

Aiming at the shortcomings of conventional speed controller of the induction motor control system,a single neuron adaptive internal model control (IMC) speed controller is presented in this paper.First, the controller which has a PI structure is designed based on IMC principle. It has only one adjustable parameter that is directly related to system performance.Next,a single neuron is employed to tune the parameter of IMC on–line in a real-time way. Finally, the controller is applied to induction motor vector control system with digital signal processor (DSP) based on the theoretical analysis. The experimental results show that the control strategy is effective and this control method can achieve good dynamic and static performance.
