Dynamic Analysis and Fatigue Life of One Type Piston

Mechanical fatigue experiments are performed for piston pin seat,and the stress-strain response of the piston overall structure is analyzed by the FEA method.It is demonstrated from the fatigue experiments that the big deformation and the edge loads are generated at the piston skirt and piston pin seat.The FEA stimulation analysis and the fatigue theory analysis are carried out.Via analyzing the dynamics under the transient loading,the circulatory stress rang value of the dangerous part is computed,and the result is accorded with the experiments.Based on the fatigue theory,the crack is considered to be the Ⅰtype,and some fatigue parameters are computed.Ultimately,the modificatory Paris formula of the fatigue life is given,and the calculated life value using the formula is accorded with the experiments.This work affords a theoretical foundation for the fatigue reliability and safety of this type piston.
