VTRM Anti-multipath technology used in Radiated Noise Sources Near-field Location

The spatial distribution of radiated noise sources can be portrayed through the location of major noise sources,and it provides powerful proofs for damping and noise-reducing.In the near-field,the conditions as follows should be considered: (1) In the case of nearfield,the radiated noise sources are not considered as the point source,i.e.non-point sources.(2) In the shallow sea,underwater acoustic channel is coherent multi-path channel.The multi-path interfere makes the locating result seriously.In this paper,based on focused beamforming,the virtual time reversal mirror (VTRM) anti-multipath technology is introduced and applied to solve the problem of nonpoint sources in the underwater acoustic multi-path channel.VTRM can fully utilize the channel characteristic and the relative position between sources and receiving arrays,and match the actual channel effectively.The necessary conditions and the algorithm with both simulational and experimental results are also described.
