The Handling and Stability Performance Simulation of Four-Wheel-Steering Vehicle
Because the vehicle with front-wheel-steering has the big radius at low speed and bad stability at high speed,the four-wheelsteering technology is analyzed.The 2DOF model and differential equation of 4ws vehicle are established.Based on zero side-slip angle of mass center and proportional control strategy,the steering angle ratios of wheel,state condition matrix,transfer functions are obtained.Using MATLAB software,the handling stability of 4ws and 2ws vehicle are simulated and compared in the domains of time and frequency.In order to get more accurate result,the vehicle virtual prototyping model was established and the handling and stability performance was analyzed using ADAMS.The result provided that using 4ws technology can decrease the steering radius at low speed and improve vehicle stability at high speed.
