Robust optimal controller design for interval systems with perturbed time delay

This paper presents a novel robust optimal controller design approach based on real-coded genetic algorithm (RCGA) for interval plants with perturbed time delay.The controller parameters are optimized by genetic algorithm associated with Kharitonov theorem to minimize close-loop performance of the time domain index ITAE.Meanwhile,the feedback system stability on the whole interval plant family is guaranteed by the Bounded Phase Condition,which is integrated into the genetic algorithm as constraints.The simulation results show the proposed method can effectively evolve an optimal controller for interval plants with purterbed time delay and simultaneously stabilize the whole interval plant family.
