Dynamic Analysis of Roots Blower Case
In this paper, the dynamic characteristic of Roots blower case is analyzed by use of ANSYS software. Firstly, an outside structure of the case is simplified with CAD software SolidWorks to draw the three-dimensional solid pictures, to get the dynamics model and create an interface file according with the standard of Parasolid software. Secondly, the grid of finite element is carried with the unit Solid186 of 20 nodes tetrahedron, and the natural frequency and vibration modes are calculated with sub-space iterative method to carry out the mode analysis on the case. The calculating results showed that the natural frequency of the case is higher than the fundamental frequency of rotor system, and vibration mode of the case structure is mainly bending, twisting, and bend-twist combination. Through dynamic analysis, the faults of structural design could be found in advance, which offer a solid theory basis to reduce the structural vibration and noise of Roots blower.
