A Review of Business Process Modelling Techniques for Supply Chain
The purpose of this paper is to summarize the techniques for business process modelling because of the huge range of approaches available in the literature. This paper explains what business processes are, the advantages of business process management and a review of two complementary ways to improve business process management. Then, it is exposed why modelling is crucial and organizations needs, explaining the main techniques used, and providing an evaluation of them. Then the attention is focused in business process modelling in supply chains, whose importance is becoming increasingly popular due, among others, to the dynamical environment. Also, a framework for classifying business process techniques is proposed.
