Evaluating Safety Stocks and Product Families in Supply Chain Planning
The main focus of this work is to provide a method to evaluate the performance of using safety stocks and product faLnilies in a context of supply chain planning modelled by mathematical programming and with uncertainty in demand. The emphasis is on obtaining more knowledge about the impact of these two known planning concepts, safety stocks and product families, in a context of supply chain planning.
