Validation of a Self Organised Control System for Logistic Partnership Network by Distributed Simulation
Today’s, companies that are suppliers in a supply chain are in a spiral of permanent optimisation. These companies increasingly turn to their core activity to improve their reactivity and to manage their costs. This paper proposes a heterarchic approach of relations control between companies: we consider that all partners’ entities (customers/suppliers) negotiate to guarantee good quality connections between customers and suppliers. To each partner, we associate a decision-making entity named Autonomous Control Entity (ACE), through which he can self evaluate his performance and which can manage the interaction with other ACEs. The integration of these ACEs constitutes a holonic control system. The operation of an ACE has been modelled through the Discrete EVent system Specification (DEVS) formalism. Then, the validation of such a control system for a self-organized logistic partnership network was done through a distributed High Level Architecture (HLA) simulation environment. The results of a case study are presented.
