A Service Oriented Architecture approach for Collaborative Information System design
A Collaborative Information System (CIS) is defined as a mediation system that allows partners to efficiently work together in an extended enterprise. In such an interoperability contest, the architecture of the CIS has to connect heterogeneous subsystems in order to respect the processes they have decided to implement in common, and also to supervise related information flows. A Model Driven Architecture (MDA) approach covers all the architecture design from business to applications with an open spirit. Starting from a Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) model of the collaborative processes, we discuss its transformation in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) model in an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) framework.
