Study on Multidimensional Model of New Product Cost Management
Based on the mathematic model put forward by Leonardo P. Santiago and Thomas G. Bifano, we discuss how to apply this multidimensional model to the cost management in new product development. The techniques of factor analysis, target cost management, value engineering and earned value management are integrated in this method, to build up a comprehensive and logical analysis framework. Each part of the framework is tied up and successive for handling the complexities of R&D cost management through the multidimensional vision.
