Coordinating the Product Design and the Supply Chain Design

Few research works consider simultaneously product design and supply chain design. In fact the coordination with designers of supply chain comes only when the product design is complete. To enable companies to be more competitive and efficient,we study, in this paper, the coordination and relationships between product design and supply chain. Firstly, we use graph theory for modelling both of designs and the relationship between them. Secondly, we attempt to come up with a mathematical formalism to well understand and support this relationship. Last, we focus on two different approaches to simultaneous design the product and the supply chain.
