A Search Algorithm for Determining the Optimal Replenishment Cycles and Inspection Schedules for an Imperfect Production-Inventory System
This paper proposes a search algorithm to obtain the optimal replenishment cycles and inspection schedules to minimize the average total cost in an imperfect production-inventory system. We present full theoretical analysis on the model, and a numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed search algorithm.
