Logistic Flows Matrix -The Tool for Analysis of Production Logistics Systems
The dynamics of nowadays markets and frequent variations of customer’s demands cause that the manufacturers must be able to provide goods on short time basis. The shorter production cycles and flexibility of production systems are main competitiveness indicators. An appropriate specification of the amount and the structure of the resources necessary for production in specific periods have become more and more difficult. In following paper authors propose a logistic flow matrix as a tool for analysis of production logistics system in order to compare the resource available in the logistics system with the resources requirement. The theoretical background of research is presented. The method for elaboration of logistic flow matrix is proposed in framework of production logistics system modeling. The potential area of elaborated tool application is presented on example of the machine assembly plant.
