A Heuristic for Tanks Traffic in LP Gas Companies with Small Truck Fleet
In this paper, we present a study upon optimizing the traffic of tanks for liquid petroleum gas companies. As the product filling is somewhat dangerous, these tanks have to respect regular controls to ensure their use. These instructions apply to traffic exchanges of available/unavailable tanks between sites (installing to/from renovation sites). Moreover we consider the case of very small fleet to ensure this traffic. This constraint implies to consider how to organize the transports. Thus we have developed a heuristic based on classic VRPs methods and an integer linear programming to compare results and time execution.
