Experimental Investigation on the Coupling rules of PCB based on the ESD Immunity Test Platform
Based on an ESD immunity test platform defined by IEC61000-4-2 and with the contact discharge,the peaks of coupling voltage and current,which induced in a printed circuit board (PCB),were measured at different discharge voltages.Through the data these rules were found,they are: the peaks of coupling voltage(Up) and current(Ip) are linear to the discharge voltage(Uesd) in the range of -0.3KV -4.2KVand 0.3KV 4.2KV,that is: Up=a1Uesd+b1 Ip=a2Uesd+b2.In addition,the trend line of Up and the output impedance of a coupled circuit in the PCB under test were provided in this paper.
