FDTD Method for EM Propagation in Plasma with Perpendicular Magnetic Declination

In this paper,the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method employing the Exponential Time Differencing (ETD) scheme is applied to the numerical analysis of anisotropic magnetized plasma with the propagation direction of the electromagnetic wave is perpendicular to the biasing field direction.The ETD-FDTD formulations are derived in detail and are confirmed by computing the reflection and transmission coefficients for the ordinary polarized wave and extraordinary polarized wave through a magnetized plasma layer.Excellent agreement between the numerical results and the exact analytical solutions is demonstrated.
