Design of Depressed-ridge Waveguide by Finite Element Method
Transmission characteristics of Depressed-ridge waveguide are analyzed by the finite element method.Design data of cutoff wavelength of the dominant mode and single-mode bandwidth for different ridge dimensions are presented in tabulated forms.Field patterns of the dominant mode and the first higher-order TE mode are also illustrated.Numerical results are obtained,which are useful in the design of many microwave components and subsystems.
