Influence of Atmosphere on Detection of Remote Aerial Target Using Passive Ground-based Radiometer

Focused on the detection model of the remote aerial target using ground-based radiometer,the influence of atmosphere has been analyzed in this paper in detail.Firstly the mechanism of atmospheric influence on the detection has been discussed by modelling a detection model of aerial target using passive ground-based radiometer.Secondly,according to the inhomogeneous vertical profile of atmosphere,a layered atmosphere model has been introduced and corresponding formulas of atmospheric attenuation and radiation has also been presented.Thirdly,the model has been validated by the experimental data using 8mm passive ground-based radiometer.At last,supported by the curves adopting MATLAB simulation,the influence of atmosphere has been analyzed and some suggestions about radiometer design are provided.The conclusion in this paper can be a valuable reference for passive detection of aerial target.
