Development of a Web-enabled Environment for Collaborative Design and Manufacture

摘要：

A web-enabled environment for collaborative designand manufacture is presented which combinesappropriate communications and interconnectivity toolsto enable manufacturing companies to interactivelycommunicate over the Internet in real time, regardlessof their IT platforms. The key techniques involved todevelop the environment include: remote execution oflarge size executable programs, data file exchangebetween different CAD systems, and data sharing inreal time with distant users.
