Design an Effective Workflow in Simulation

摘要：

Workflow establishes the steps to carry a certain task.By the documenting the steps in a process map, itenables process designer to visualize the workflow andfacilitate work standardization. As process map couldonly present the workflow in static, it could not describethe effectiveness of the workflow in actual operation.By designing the workflow using simulation system, wecould analyze the effectiveness of the workflow, whichrepresented by the key performance output variableswith a set of key performance input variables. Theworkflow of a call center is used to describe the steps inusing simulation to design workflow and an actual caseis also used to describe the effectiveness of suchapproach.
