An Emerging Field: Intersection of A-Life and AI

This paper attempts to provide a systematical view ofthe intersection of Artificial Life (A-Life) and Artificialintelligence (AI), focusing on the highlight of thisemerging field: Adaptive Behavior System and AdaptiveAutonomous Agent. First of all, A-Life and AI aredelineated, and the AI roots of A-Life and A-Life roots ofAI are discussed Based upon the discussions, adaptivebehavior system and adaptive autonomous agent areintroduced as the intersection of A-Life and AI. Finally,useful guidelines of the methodology for this emergingfield are proposed
