The Research on ASP-Based SMEs Collaborative Platform

Small and Medium Enterprises play a major role inChinas economy. A Collaborative Application ServiceProvider (CASP) is proposed to improve the situation ofSMEs. The open, dynamic, reconfigurable, scalable androbust architecture of CASP is introduced, enablingSMEs to get high quality and low cost software-lease-online service and supporting allied members tocompete for market collaboratively. The servicesprovided by CASP are discussed briefly. The keytechnologies used to develop CASP are analyzed indetail. The practice of CASP in High TechnologyIndustry Region of Shannxi Province (HTIRSP) whichwas developed with the architecture and technologiesdiscussed in the paper greatly promotes the corecompetence of SMEs as well as the economy of theregion.
