Several Critical Problems in a Real-time Interactive Virtual Classroom

摘要：

Virtual classroom is an indispensable part ofdistant learning systems and an importantdirection in the CSCL research field. It providesa teaching environment under different time andlocation. The real-time interactive virtualclassroom given in this paper is based on thethree-layer client/server architecture. It providesa serial of real-time, interactive cooperativetools and offers some web services in order to beintegrated with other systems easily. This virtualclassroom also implements a management andcooperation mechanism and a real-timelearning mode based on synchronizationProblem-Based Learning. Moreover, this papermakes some analyses and discussion about theroles and their supported tools of virtualclassroom.
