A Study of Traffic Collection Techniques for Network Management and Accounting Systems

The customers access lnternet services viadifferent access approaches; accordingly, thetraffic collection techniques served fornetwork management and accounting systemsare different. The paper introduces several keytechniques on network traffic collections forNetwork Traffic Accounting Systemdevelopment; each traffic collection techniquepossesses different advantages and differenteffects on device performance, suiting fordifferent scenarios. Current Traffic AccountingSystems typically comprise Traffic Collection,Data Statistics, Accounting Information Query,Accounting Rule Configuration and Usersmanagement, involving several CSCWconcepts and techniques. It is practical to forenterprises to develop their own accountingsystems according to these traffic collectiontechniques and approaches.
