An Implementation of Mobile IPs Tunnel Technology in Linux Kernel
Mobile IP is a network technology to realize thecommunications between hosts and LAN in TCP/IPnetwork, which mainly resolves the problem of LAN notable to outspread. Mobile IP makes IP devices browse theInternet at any moment and anywhere. This flexiblecommunication scheme can provide a powerfulcommunication basis for CSCW, and it will make theapplication of CSCW going further. Our thesis bringsforward a concrete implementation of the mobility on IPlayer of TCP/IP protocol family to assure the mobile nodefeeling no infection of mobility no matter what protocolbe used on application layer and transport layer. We workwith Linux and utilize its opening kernel environment toprovide a practicable scheme to implement tunneltechnology of Mobile IP We focus on IP layer, extradispose the packets and make them transferred throughtunnel, which can assure all the packets transmitted freelybetween the mobile node and other nodes. We directlyimplant the encapsulation and decapsulation process intoLinux kernel in order to improve speed and security.
