Reliable Communication Based on P2P Architecture on Real-Time Collaborative Editing System
Traditional CSCW systems generally use point-to-pointarchitecture for mutual communication. Peer-to-peer(P2P) architecture requires all the participants tocontribute their individual resources in a collaborativegroup. In this paper, we propose a real-time collaborativeediting system based on P2P network architecture. Thisarchitecture provides a reliable and efficientcommunication environment for collaborative editing.Each collaborator participates in the routing of otherclients requests, and contributes bandwidth to relaydata-streams. Another advantage is to reallocate thenetwork resources among the whole collaborative group,thus facilitate the mutual awareness and optimize thecollaborative effect.
