A New Collaborative Awareness Model and Its Application

摘要：

Collaborative Awareness (CA)is the base of naturalinteraction．After years of research．There is still not aclear overall picture of CA in CSCW community．Manydifferent viewpoints are mixed up and research on CA ischaos．In particular．designers don’t know how toarticulate CA information into Collaborative systems．Theissue is that there is no appropriate CA reference model．To solve the problem，in this Paper we analyze relatedconcepts and technologies about CA，propose a-Dimension CA Model(3DCAM)．and then design CAinformation in Virtual Design Center(VDC)according tothe model．The experience indicates that the model canclarify the cognition on CA，and also it can be used todirect embedding CA information into groupware．
