The Numerical Analysis About Depth Of The Defense Cover Attacked by MOP

Explosion damage effect of Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) is more than 10 times the explosive power of its predecessor,the BLU-109.The targets of MOP will be deeply underground headquarters and hard deeply buried targets.It has been simulated by using LS-DYNA finite-element software to analyze damage effect of MOP,which MOP attacks underground protective works under different deepness from 28 to 48m.The minimal depth of the defense cover gained from numerical simulation is nearly equal with it gained from experiential formula.
