Infrastructure for Web-GIS Based Interoperable SARS Information System
This paper proposed an infrastructure of Web-GISbased interoperable SARS prevention information system,which can enable public participate in the activities ofprevention against SARS virus and report SARSinformation to health cure center through the lnternet. AGIS java applet is used to show the GIS graphical userinterface in web, which makes the public collaborate withthe relevant hygiene department, and health cure center.The public and medical workers can share the discoveryof the virus source and monitor the area of SARS throughthis system. The system has adopted the systemarchitecture based on J2EE, which can be easily toexpand the system to large scale. Based on the system, wecan analyze the SARS condition through artificialintelligence DSS, isolate the area of the developing virussource and find and control the condition within shortesttime. The system functions of Web-GIS basedinteroperable information system and the keytechnological issues are investigated in this paper. Hasoffered a method for reporting and sharing theinformation of virus related GIS, it has important valuefor SARS prevention.
