VRML Based Collaborative Visualization for Volume Product Datasets
Object reverse design from volume datasets has beendeveloped from the medical field to the industrialmanufacture. But the industrial products have complexinner structure and are hard to foresee from experience, sothe products structure reconstruction has became one ofthe bottle-neck that restrict the volume datasetsapplication from wide spread in industrial field. This paperintroduces the network technology into the visualizationresearch of volume datasets. Under the Internetenvironment, we utilize VRML as the expression andtransfer carrier of the volume datasets and adopt thetexture mapping method to realize the datasets directvisualization. This kind of visualization in the network cancollect multi usersknowledge, realize collaborative workand acquire more accurate topological structures.
