Performance Appraisal with heterogenous information
Performance appraisal is a process used for somefirms in order to evaluate the employeesefficiency andproductivity for planning their promotion policy.Ini-tially this process was carried out just by the execu-tive staff, but recently it has evolved to an evaluationprocess based on the opinion of different reviewers,su-pervisors,collaborators,clients and the employee him-self(360-degree method). In such a evaluation processthe reviewers evaluate some indicators related to theemployee performance appraisal The sets of Review-ers involve in the evaluation process might have differ-ent degree of knowledge about the evaluated employee. It then seems suitable to offer a flexible framework inwhich different reviewers can express their assessmentsin different domains according to their knowledge,i.e.,an heterogeneous evaluation framework. The final aimis to design an performance appraisal model in such aframework that computes a final evaluation for each em-ployee.That will be used by the management team to make their decisions regarding their incentive and pro-motion policy.
