A Fingerprint Matching Method Based on Minutiae and Ridges

摘要：

Attributions including the type of minutiae,thecurvature of ridge,the length ratio of 2 line segmentsof ridge and the relative topological relationshipamong minutiae and ridges were used in partialand/or nonlinear distorted fingerprint matching.Threekinds of criterions were defined to describe the patternof fingerprint.Fingerprint was matched in stepsaccording to the criterions consist of attributions ofand topological relationship among minutiae and theiradjacent ridges.The final matching result wassynthetically judged by the matching results in step-matching.Experiments show that the algorithmpresented can achieve excellent matching result inpartial and/or distorted fingerprint matching.
